Venezuela's Hugo Chavez survived a coup attempt in 2002. The crew that filmed this documentary was on hand to witness events. The takeover lasted only 48 hours, and Chavez was returned to power by the support of the people. Chavez was a fierce opponent of U.S.President George W. Bush and spoke strongly against U.S. involvement in Afghanistan. Chavez strongly supported socialism and redistribution of the nation's vast oil wealth. The film was debuted in 2003 at the South by Southwest Film Festival but was never televised in the U.S.
