This documentary is the true story of much loved Sister Dorothy Mae Stang of the Brazilian Congregation of the Sisters of Notre Dame de Namur. She was born in Dayton, Ohio on July 7, 1931. In the 1980s, Sr. Dorothy and her best friend, Sister Becky, had come to the Amazon to help poor, migrant people. Sister Dorothy taught agriculture, so the people could grow their own food. One woman is now a PDS technician. Shortly after her death, her brother, David, came to the Amazon to collect her things and take a tour of the remains of the rainforest.
