Time in the Minors documents the lives of two young professionals who are trying to build themselves a name within Major League Baseball. Fewer than two thousand high school and college players are chosen every year to go play for the minor leagues, and Time in the Minors captures the dreams, challenges, and hardships from moving from the minor leagues to the MLB.

Time in the Minors follows the story of John Drennen, a 2005 California draft to the Cleveland Indians. John is a rookie, being drafted within a year. Time in the Minors also follows the story of Tony Schrager, a 1998 draft from Nebraska. Unlike John, Tony has played for the minors for close to ten years, and this draft may be his last chance at ever playing professional baseball. Time in the Minors captures the experience of playing professional baseball. The film follows each player from their draft, through the pre-season, all the way to post-season.

Time in the Minors is a 2010 documentary with a runtime of 1 hour. It has received mostly positive reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 6.5.
