'7th Heaven' Star David Gallagher Joins 'The Vampire Diaries'

'7th Heaven' Star David Gallagher Joins 'The Vampire Diaries' "The Vampire Diaries" has a new cast member, and it's someone who is already pretty familiar to those who watch a lot of CW programming.

David Gallagher has been cast for the next season of the hit CW show, and will appear in the first two episodes. Gallagher is most famous for his role as Simon Camden on "7th Heaven," but has also guest starred on "Smallville" in the past, as well as "The Deep End," "Bones," "Numb3rs" and "Without a Trace."

Gallagher most recently appeared in a very funny role as the stoner camera store clerk Donny in the alien thriller "Super 8."

What role will Gallagher be playing?

It looks like he's going to be a werewolf by the name of Ray Sutton, and word is that he's going to have an encounter with Klaus. That could explain why he's currently only set to appear in two episodes, eh?

It also remains to be seen what purpose he'll serve to Klaus, but I guess we'll have to wait until the premiere on September 15th to find out!
