'Straight A' Sookie: Anna Paquin Joins Luke Wilson, Ryan Phillipe in New Movie There's no blood and no fangs to be found in the script, but the triangular love drama and Southern-fried dysfunction sounds awfully familiar.

Anna Paquin (aka Sookie Stackhouse from "True Blood") has joined Luke Wilson and Ryan Phillipe on the cast of the dramatic comedy "Straight A's," according to IndieWire. The film is directed by James Cox, who directed "Wonderland" - a movie about porn star John Holmes.

According to Film School Rejects, "The script, from writer Dave Cole, is about a man who has been in and out of rehab for a decade, and who is haunted by the ghost of his dead mother. This pesky old ghost continually gripes at him that he needs to seek out his family and make amends with the people that he turned his back on long ago."

Paquin is used to playing roles drenched in dysfunction, and this new film sounds no different. Hell, there's even a small Southern hometown and a love triangle to contend with.

"Armed with a cache of pills and weed, this man makes his way back to his hometown of Shreveport to spend some time with his brother and his brother’s wife, who still pines after our main character, as he was her first love," according to the site.

Paquin has another film coming out this year called "Margaret" from Academy Award-nominated writer/director Kenneth Lonergan. She'll star alongside Matt Damon and Mark Ruffalo in that film, which reportedly sat on the shelf for six years while Lonergan attempted to edit it to a screenable length.

"Margaret" comes out in limited release September 30th.
