Every second, 150 people get on an airplane. Today, flying is almost routine, yet hardly a century ago, boarding a plane required a good deal of courage and even a pinch of recklessness. France, a pioneer in world aviation, was among the first countries to use planes to transport mail and passengers. It required great sacrifices, and continues to challenge our most innovative minds.
