The 6th embarks from Hawaii, debarks at Milne Bay, New Guinea, and battles for "Lone Tree Hill." Shows troops in rain and mud. Troops debark at Sansapor. Planes take off from the new airstrip and bomb targets. Ships are loaded for the Philippine invasion. Troops relax and are briefed aboard ships. Ships battle Japanese planes and shell Luzon (night and day). Munoz is captured. Shows a night bombardment and resulting Japanese armor losses. The Shimbu Line is attacked; wounded are treated during the battle. POWs are captured during mopping up operations.
