Watch Alicia in Africa, Journey to the Motherland

In 2006, musician Alicia Keys took a month long trip to Africa. While there, she visited individuals and families affected by the HIV virus. This visit and her work with the Keep a Child Alive foundation are documented as she visits different household with children affected by HIV. Not only does Alicia Keys talk to the people who have HIV, but exposes some of the difficulties in obtaining treatment and medications in Africa.
