Alien Siege is a science fiction thriller that takes place in a small American town. The movie, directed by Rob Pallatina, appears to be a low-budget science fiction film with stereotypical tropes and cheesiness throughout the plot. The film begins by introducing viewers to a group of alien hunters led by Reiker (Terry Woodbury) and his assistant, Briggs (Ryan Shanahan). Reiker is a well-known celebrity in the alien-hunting community, while Briggs is a naive and impressionable young man who seems to idolize Reiker. Reiker and Briggs travel to a small town along with a team of other hunters to investigate strange occurrences on the outskirts of the town where a meteor has crashed into the Earth's surface, creating a large explosion that seems to have disrupted the town's electricity.

In the meantime, the movie introduces us to some of the town’s residents. A small group, including the protagonist Matt (Matt Pohlkamp) and his love interest Jen (Christina Licciardi) work in the same garage. A battle-hardened veteran and his wife who are ready for whatever comes. A nerd who is obsessed with a love interest who has vanished. A couple of teenagers who are home alone when the aliens arrive. These strange occurrences ultimately lead to the residents' realization that they are under assault from an alien race, which has staged a full-scale invasion of their town. The alien race is very powerful and uses extremely advanced technology to embed their forces on the Earth.

The scenes of the alien invasion are explosive and visually stunning for a movie of its genre. The filmmakers have done a great job of portraying the aliens' technology, which is both modern and slightly retro. The aliens' spaceship is a very distinct homage to the sci-fi b-movies of the 60s and 70s.

The invasion of the aliens turns out to be a horrible nightmare for the small town residents, with most of them helpless and scared. However, a few brave souls rise up to fight the alien forces. Matt leads the charge against the alien forces with a little insight he gained during his time in Afghanistan. Reiker and Briggs, on the other hand, seem to be more interested in capturing an alien to sell for a profit, and it is apparent that they are in over their heads.

Although it's not the most creative science-fiction movie, Alien Siege doesn't disappoint when it comes to action-packed scenes and dramatic situations. The movie manages to keep the audience engaged throughout the whole duration by developing its characters well and showing different perspectives of the situation, including the broad effects on the community.

Overall, Alien Siege is a watchable science fiction movie that is entertaining enough for die-hard sci-fi fans. The movie is not at all bad and worth checking out for those who enjoy the genre. However, the movie didn't receive much praise among critics, and its low-budget aesthetic and lack of originality limit its scope considerably. Nevertheless, it presents an interesting and simplistic view of an alien invasion with occasional laughs and a satisfying conclusion.

Alien Siege is a 2018 action movie with a runtime of 1 hour and 25 minutes.
