Randy Ryan stars as Joe Bender, a bachelor that believes at almost 40 his window of opportunity for true love has already come and gone. At Joe’s surprise 40th birthday party, he meets Amanda (Ariana Dubynin) and his whole outlook on true love suddenly changes. He has met the woman of his dreams, and she is just as smitten with him. After a whirlwind romance, he is ready for the ultimate commitment. The pair decide to get married, though Joe’s parents are none too thrilled with the idea, they forge ahead.

The morning after his wedding, while still reveling in his blissful new life, Joe brings up the idea of children. In a quick instant, he is plummeted into a disparaging reality as he discovers that Amanda is not exactly who he thought she was. She has been harboring a secret that blows his newfound happiness to pieces. After she makes him vow that he will always love her, no matter what, she reveals to him that children are not an option and that she was actually born a man.

In his utter devastation, Joe demands a divorce and tells Amanda that he never wants to see her again. Thrown back into the life of a bachelor, he begins to realize that being single makes him miserable. He longs for what he had with Amanda, and discovers that their time together is irreplaceable.
