The Blue Apple Tree, originally titled El Manzano Azul, is a Spanish language film from 2012. Diego is a preteen child of the city who must spend his summer vacation out in the Andes with a grandfather he barely knows. Without technology or a willingness to confront several bullies, Diego quickly become bored and despondent. Things change for the boy when he comes across a blue apple tree and runs into a pretty girl he grows fond of. The audience bares witness to the change in Diego's mood that a strange tree and caring people can have on a person.
