A battered woman, Violeta, seeks information about her deceased mother. She's a woman buried in the Caribbean island of Antigua. Eduardo is the abusive husband, who's after Violeta, who fled home. During Violeta's mother's life, she was a fighter for the liberation forces that freed Antigua from British rule in 1981.
