In the post-Revolutionary War era, Beyond the Mask follows the story of William Reynolds (Andrew Cheney), a mercenary for the British East India Company. In order to hide from his past, Reynolds assumes the identity of a clergyman and becomes a tutor for the young son of the wealthy and influential Charles Kemp (John Rhys-Davies). While working for the Kemps, Reynolds discovers a plot by the East India Company to take over the American colonies and enlists the help of Charlotte Holloway (Kara Killmer), a woman who was wronged by the company as well.

As they work together to thwart the evil plan, Reynolds and Charlotte's relationship develops into a romance. But their mission is not without its challenges, as they face danger and betrayal at every turn.
