Bickford Schmeckler is a nerdy college freshman who is used to retreating into himself, spending his time occupied by coming up with innovative ideas and inventions and recording them in his notebook. He doesn't have a lot of opportunities for social interaction, though he does have a big crush on a female classmate. Still, he is used to being unnoticed. Then, someone steals his idea notebook and begins to implement some of his thoughts. He realizes that he really has a lot to offer the world - and also that he's going to need to get that notebook back soon.
