Bloody Knuckles is a 2014 horror/comedy film directed by Matt O'Mahoney. The movie stars Adam Boys as Travis, a talented underground comic book artist who finds his hand severed by a ruthless gangster. To make matters worse, the gangster takes the severed hand and puts it on display as a trophy in his club. Feeling defeated and humiliated, Travis decides to give up his dreams of being a comic book artist. However, he soon discovers that his severed hand is still alive and is seeking revenge against the gangster who cut it off. The hand, now possessed by a vengeful spirit, emerges as a force to be reckoned with - killing those who were involved in its dismemberment.
Travis is initially freaked out by his possessed hand and tries to hide it in a freezer. However, he soon embraces the hand's murderous tendencies and uses it as a tool to seek revenge. With the help of his friends, including his comic book store co-worker (Kasey Ryne Mazak), Travis sets out to take down the gangster and get his severed hand back.
The movie is filled with dark humor and plenty of gore. The possessed hand is portrayed as a miniature version of Travis, complete with tiny clothes and a voice that only Travis can hear. The hand's kills are creative and gruesome, ranging from stabbing people with pencils to shoving a cell phone down someone's throat.
As Travis continues to use the hand to exact revenge, he begins to question if it is worth the cost. He starts to lose control of the hand and realizes that it may have a mind of its own. Meanwhile, the gangster who cut off Travis's hand is also dealing with his own set of problems, including an angry wife and a rival gang threatening his territory.
The plot becomes more complicated as Travis and his friends try to take down the gangster and retrieve his hand. Along the way, they encounter various eccentric characters, including a stripper who helps them hack into the gangster's computer and a street artist who creates a giant mural of Travis's possessed hand.
The movie culminates in a bloody showdown between Travis, his friends, and the gangster's cronies. The possessed hand ultimately gets its revenge, but at a great cost. Travis is left to contemplate the consequences of his actions and figure out how to move on from the traumatic experience.
Overall, Bloody Knuckles is a fun and unique horror/comedy film that delivers plenty of laughs and gore. The film's use of practical effects and puppetry for the possessed hand adds to its charm and makes it stand out from other horror movies.
Bloody Knuckles is a 2014 horror movie with a runtime of 1 hour and 23 minutes. It has received moderate reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 5.9.
