After traveling the country speaking at colleges and universities, financial educator Adam Carroll was hit with a grim reality: most students didn't have the slightest clue how much they'd borrowed for college or how much their payments would be after graduation. Intent on changing the narrative about how college is funded, Adam and a team of filmmakers set out to make a film that will have parents and students rethinking traditional higher education and how it's paid for. On a mission to inspire people to make better financial decisions when funding college, the film explores how our idyllic way of funding higher education became the behemoth that it is today: a system where 1 out of every 4 loans will ultimately go into default.
