This small budget, independant American horror period film was directed by Brian Corder and stars famed movie contortionist, Doug Jones (Hellboy). The film takes place entirely in the Great Depression, in the United States, 1936 and follows a rag tag group of traveling circus performers called The Knuckle Brothers, that specialize in freakshows. When one of their number turns up dead and horribly mutilated the local authorities step in and begin to investigate.

Detective Conrad Ellison begins to interview the circus staff, Virgil, the "Strongest Man in the World," the drug addled leader of the group Helen, the alluring gypsy palm reader Zoe and the strange and jittery Ratcatcher. But he soon begins to wonder if the killer is someone else, something else, something not entirely... human.
