Christian Schwarz is the son of a Lutheran minister and grew up in a church-going home, but it was not until he was 15 that he heard a sermon which convinced him that he wanted to spend eternity with God. Realizing that he was not gifted to be a preacher, he determined to use teaching as an evangelistic tool. Perhaps his greatest personal crisis was the death of his father with whom he had worked as a team. It took eight years to heal his loss through prayer. Now Schwarz attempts to find the universal principles that are real for all churches. He seeks, not a new theology, but to create workable structures and growth of the local church so it can create new structures. Research now makes it possible to see what brought about great revivals and what are the hindrances to them. He is currently praying for a much anticipated revival. This program is part of the Christian Catalyst VIPS Collection.
