Watch Civil War Battles: Shiloh 1862

Remembered as one of the major battles of the Civil War, the battle of Shiloh in 1862 was never planned by either side. By chance, the two opposing armies engaged each other in early April at a place on the Tennessee River called Pittsburg Landing. This film recounts the ensuing battle for two days with the action centering at a small church named Shiloh.
