Watch Coastal & Mediterranean Climates

This program introduces coastal climates in general and the Mediterranean climate in particular. Uneven heating of land and ocean accounts for the winds and humidity typical of both climates. The program explores the unique ecosystem of coastal climates and it highlights the rich civilization that has developed along the shores of the Mediterranean, which is based on traditional industries such as olive growing and sheep herding and newer ones such as tourism.
