As the only member of his family born in the U.S., 15-year-old Jamil Sunsin finds himself living alone in the US after his undocumented parents and older sister are deported to Honduras. After a visit to Honduras to see his family, he struggles with the political and personal turmoil caused by the government's family separation policies and must decide if it is worth it to continue his education in America or go back to Honduras to be with his family.
