Crickets & Other Orthopterans is a documentary which examines the life and habitat of crickets and their closest relatives. The documentary looks into some of the traits which these insects share with other members of the kingdom. But it pays far more attention to the aspects of orthopterans which set them apart from other insects. Part of this involves an examination of their biology. The documentary uses close, live action, photography to look into the life of crickets. It zooms in close enough to simulate what the world would look like to something that small. The documentary also shows the various locations where the crickets make their home.
