Crisis Hotline: Veterans Press 1 is a harrowing and emotional documentary from director Ellen Goosenberg Kent. It follows the volunteer and salaried workers who man a crisis hotline that helps distraught US military veterans and their families as they deal with stress, crisis, financial and marriage issues, as well as medical problems both physical and mental. The documentary is very tense and even though the voices of the callers can't be heard you can always see the gravity and seriousness of the situation as each counselor takes their calls. Goosenberg Kent puts a human face to the voice on the phone that is there to help those military heroes in need.
