Dance With Death is a 1992 action-thriller that stars Maxwell Caulfield as Richard "Rick" Shaw, an ex-cop turned private investigator who gets caught up in a dangerous game of cat and mouse when he is hired to find a missing stripper named Kim Adams (Barbara Alyn Woods). The movie opens with a high-energy scene of Kim performing at a strip club owned by a sleazy businessman named Waldo Quinlan (Martin Mull). Things take a dark turn when she goes missing, and her friend and fellow stripper Cindy (Carrie Hamilton) turns to Rick for help. Rick is hesitant to take the case, but his curiosity is piqued when he realizes that Waldo is involved.

As Rick delves deeper into the case, he discovers that Kim is not the only woman who has gone missing from Quinlan's club. He begins to suspect that there is a serial killer at large, and that the killer is someone close to him.

The movie builds tension as Rick races against time to find Kim and stop the killer before it's too late. Along the way, he is aided by his loyal friend and former police partner, Detective Ed Gavin (Charles Dance), as well as Cindy and a sympathetic stripper named Dani (Deborah Geffner).

The acting in Dance With Death is solid, with Caulfield delivering a convincing performance as the hard-boiled detective with a heart of gold. Woods is also strong as the vulnerable but resilient Kim, while Mull imbues his villainous character with just the right amount of sleaze and menace.

The film's action sequences are well done, with plenty of car chases, shootouts, and hand-to-hand combat to keep the adrenaline pumping. There are also a few tense moments of suspense, particularly towards the end of the movie when Rick finally comes face to face with the killer.

One of the standout aspects of Dance With Death is its stylish direction and cinematography. Director Charles Philip Moore (who also wrote the screenplay) uses carefully crafted camera angles and lighting to create a moody, noirish atmosphere that perfectly complements the story's gritty subject matter.

Overall, Dance With Death is an entertaining and suspenseful thriller that will keep viewers on the edge of their seats. While not a groundbreaking film by any means, it's a solid entry in the action-thriller genre that delivers plenty of thrills and excitement.

Dance With Death is a 1991 crime movie with a runtime of 1 hour and 26 minutes. It has received mostly poor reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 4.6.
