Blitz is a 2011 crime thriller film that revolves around a serial killer who is targeting police officers in the city of London. Directed by Elliott Lester, the movie stars renowned action star Jason Statham as Detective Sergeant Tom Brant, who is tasked to capture the killer. The movie begins with the murder of a police officer in broad daylight. The killer is soon revealed to be a sociopathic criminal named Barry Weiss, played by Aidan Gillen, who is targeting police officers to avenge a past injustice done to him by the force. Brant, who has a reputation for being a hot-headed and unconventional cop, is assigned to the case, alongside his gay police partner, Porter Nash (Paddy Considine).

As Brant and Nash begin to investigate Weiss and the murders, they discover that Weiss is much more cunning than they initially thought. He is always one step ahead of them and manages to evade them at every turn. The killer becomes increasingly brazen and attacks more police officers, leaving the city in fear of a serial killer.

Brant, determined to catch Weiss at all costs, takes matters into his own hands and starts to act recklessly. He is warned by his superiors to not let his emotions cloud his judgment, but Brant's thirst for revenge and justice leads him to take extreme measures.

As the body count rises and Brant's personal demons start to surface, Nash finds himself caught in the middle of a dangerous game between Brant and Weiss. The movie builds to an intense and unpredictable climax that will keep viewers on the edge of their seats.

Blitz is a well-made movie that keeps the audience engaged throughout. The action sequences are thrilling, and the performances of the cast are solid. Statham, in particular, shines as the tough yet flawed cop, who is not afraid to take risks to get the job done. Considine offers a great supporting turn as Nash, the more sensible and less impulsive of the duo.

The movie works well as a crime thriller and has a few unexpected twists and turns that keep the audience guessing until the end. It also offers a glimpse into the darker side of policing and the toll it takes on the mental health of cops.

Overall, Blitz is a fast-paced and engaging movie that is sure to satisfy fans of the crime-thriller genre. It has enough action, suspense, and drama to keep viewers entertained, while also providing a thought-provoking commentary on the role of law enforcement in society.

Blitz is a 2011 crime movie with a runtime of 1 hour and 37 minutes. It has received moderate reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 6.1.
