Timofey Berezin’s life changes for the worse when he is exposed to radiation while working at a nuclear facility in Russia. Knowing that his life will eventually end because of this, and having been suspended from his job after the accident that exposed him, Timofey decides for the benefit of his wife and son to travel to Moscow and meet up with a small-time gangster named Shiv with some weapons-grade plutonium that he smuggled out of the facility before leaving for good. While desperately searching for buyers, Timofey learns something about Shiv that brings them closer together, and makes them both more determined to finish the task.
