Death Faces is film that was structured as a comedy and mockumentary. Written by a person credited as S. Sebastian Shock, the listed director is Countess Victoria Bloodhart and Steve White, though it is unclear exactly whether or not those are the names of the people involved. The movie's producers are listed as Damian B. Gravenhorse and Mink De Ronda, PhD. Again, it is unclear whether these names represent the actual parties involved with this film production or not. The suspicion is that the latter is the case.

Narrated by the fictional Professor Bizarro Blackstone, the film consists of actual footage that was gleaned from various different horrifying films and actual real-life scenarios. The scenes all concern stories about very graphic subject matter such as cannibalism, bloodsucking freaks, the holocaust, snuff films and many other topics that many may find disturbing.

For example, one scene features the actual newsreel footage from the death of the infamous gangsters, Bonnie and Clyde and John Dillinger. Additionally, there is footage connected to detailed accounts of the notorious Nazi Adolf Hitler, his deeds and that of his cohorts.

One sequence also involves tribes in Kenya, such as the Kikuyu people. However, the movie incorrectly states that the people are actually from Papua New Guinea. Also included is footage of various car wrecks such as demolished stock cars from a number of races that turned out to be fatal. The John F. Kennedy assassination is another featured topic with actual footage from the president's murder.

The film was edited and released under the title Beyond Reality and was credited to Steve White. There were no other technical credits listed for the film. The entire video was shot in black and white, with the exception of a very few short scenes. Some of the footage from the film was edited later and the added to the Banned from Facez series for the additional parts 3 and 4.

Produced by Macabre Productions and the Mahoney Brothers, the distributor is listed as Deluxe Movie Videos for Fame Entertainment.
