Deranged is a psychological thriller movie produced in 2018 in Ghana by filmmakers under the banner of Sparrow Productions. It tells the story of a man named Anas Zainab who encounters some devastating situations that lead him down a path of madness. Ramsey Nouah plays the role of Anas Zainab, a writer who has spent most of his life writing novels that often grab the attention of his readers. However, he soon realizes that his success as a writer has led him to neglect important people in his life such as his wife, Nadia Buari (Sofia), and his sister, Zynnell Zuh (Miriam).

Anas believes that success lies in always focusing on work, but Miriam's visit changes his outlook on life. Miriam is suffering from a life-threatening illness, and this rattles Anas, making him realize that he had been too busy to maintain a relationship with his sister.

Immediately Anas tries to get to repair their relationship, they are involved in a severe car accident that leaves Miriam dead. Anas becomes traumatized by this and starts experiencing unexpected and unusual feelings. The loss of his sister seems to have opened up a Pandora's box which he cannot close.

Anas decides to retreat to a house by the beach where he can grieve alone. However, after a while, he begins to experience strange visions and hears the voice of his dead sister. These circumstances cause him to become paranoid and isolated from society.

As his paranoia grows, Anas begins to see Sofia as his sister, and he becomes obsessed with her. Sofia is powerless as she watches in fear as Anas becomes increasingly unpredictable and violent. She knows that this person is no longer the man she married.

Anas's behavior becomes increasingly erratic and worrisome, which leads Sofia to conclude that the situation is out of her control. She decides to bring Anas to a psychiatric facility for help, as she is in fear of her life.

The ultimate question is, will Anas overcome his impending madness, or will the circumstances of his life continue to pull him down an even darker path?
