Dragon Age: Redemption is a six-part web series released in 2011, written by and starring Felicia Day. Based on the popular video game franchise of the same name, the series follows the story of the elven assassin Tallis (Day) as she is hired by the Qunari to capture a rogue mage who is leading a rebellion against the ruling Templars.

The series is set in the land of Ferelden, a world rife with magic and divided by a long-standing conflict between the Templars, who seek to regulate the use of magic, and the Mages, who desire freedom from Templar rule. The series begins with Tallis being recruited by the Qunari, a race of horned warriors who have arrived in Ferelden seeking to recruit mages to their cause. Tallis agrees to help them in exchange for information about a powerful artifact that she hopes will help her in her own quest for vengeance against a former ally.

Tallis sets out on her mission with two Qunari warriors, Saarebas (Marcia Battise) and Gronn (Adam Rayner), and soon finds herself caught up in a complex web of political intrigue and betrayal. Along the way, she crosses paths with a rogue mage named Cairn (Masam Holden), who is leading a rebellion against the Templars and has been linked to the theft of the artifact that Tallis is seeking.

As the series progresses, Tallis finds herself torn between her loyalty to the Qunari and her growing relationship with Cairn. She must navigate a series of dangerous encounters with various factions within the world of Ferelden, all while grappling with her own inner demons and desires. Along the way, she must also confront her own past and the choices that have led her to this point.

Dragon Age: Redemption is filled with action, intrigue, and plenty of twists and turns. The series is visually stunning, with impressive special effects and costume design that bring the world of Ferelden to life. Day delivers an engaging and complex performance as Tallis, balancing the character's fierce determination with a vulnerability that makes her all the more relatable.

The supporting cast is also strong, particularly Holden as Cairn, who brings a depth and complexity to his portrayal of the rebellious mage. Battise and Rayner also shine as Tallis's Qunari allies, each bringing a unique perspective and skillset to the mission at hand.

At six episodes, the series is brief but satisfying, with a tight pace and plenty of action-packed moments that keep the audience on the edge of their seats. While the series is clearly designed to appeal to fans of the Dragon Age franchise, it also stands on its own as a compelling story that explores themes of power, identity, and the nature of heroism.

All in all, Dragon Age: Redemption is an impressive achievement, showcasing Felicia Day's talents both as a writer and as an actress. Whether you're a fan of the Dragon Age games or simply enjoy well-crafted fantasy fiction, this web series is definitely worth a watch.

Dragon Age: Redemption is a 2011 action movie. It has received moderate reviews from critics and viewers, who have given it an IMDb score of 6.1.
