Watch Equatorial & Savannah Climates

The tropics are the region of rainforests and savannas. As this program shows, tropical rainforests are very warm and humid throughout the year, conditions which support many species of plants and small animals. In a savanna, there is also little variation in seasons. But the dry climate means fewer trees and more grass, so savannas are home to herds of large animals. Food and water can be scarce, so both humans and animals in the savanna are migratory.
