When Scott was 7, his biological father left the family. From the wound that this abandonment created, the artist F. Scott Hess was born. This documentary examines the complex and visionary artistry of Hess. After 32 years he reunites with his father and creates a mock National Exhibit questioning the authority of perceived truths and the dubious 400 year of his paternal family history.
