Fire Mountain is a 2003 movie based on real life events. The movie portrays a realism that will make movie goers feel as though they're part of what is going on. A realistic-looking set was created, along with the latest special effects of the day. On Thursday, May 3, 1902, the volcano in the Caribbean island of Martinique, Mont Pelee, blew up a sea of lava and destruction. In less than five minutes, the 27,000 residents of the town of St. Pierre, next to the volcano, died in indescribable pain. There are interesting accounts from some of the deceased family members.
