Written and directed by Matthew Group, this documentary focuses on the role of "geeks" in modern society, and why some people find their hobbies regarded as geeky by others. To some extent, the film deals with themes of individualism versus inclusion. Among other topics, the film carefully explores popular subcultures in modern society involved in science fiction fan groups and Japanese animated cartoons. Brief segments show interviews or appearances by Ken Page, Chris Sarandon, Steve Yun, Colleen O'Shaughnessey, David Ogden Stiers, Ethan Phillips, David Prowse, Tim Russ and Irvin Kershner. This intelligent film will appeal to the geek in everyone.
