Globe Trekker - Georgia & Armenia is a thrilling travel documentary released on October 6, 2016. The second half of the movie takes us to Armenia, where Ian lands in the city of Yerevan. He learns about the country's rich history and culture and visits landmarks such as the Matenadaran Institute of Ancient Manuscripts, which houses over 17,000 ancient manuscripts and books.
Ian then travels to the countryside of Armenia to visit the Tatev Monastery, a stunning 9th-century monument that is built on the edge of a deep gorge. He takes a cable car that offers breathtaking views of the Vorotan Gorge and observes the majestic statues of the monastery that make it one of the most revered sites in Armenia.
The movie concludes with Ian exploring the city of Gyumri, where he learns about the country's folk music and art. He attends a traditional Armenian dance performance and meets with local artists to learn about the country's rich artistic traditions.
