Digging for gold so people can be rich seems like a wonderful dream. And for companies like Goldcorp that dream can come true, but it comes with a cost as well. This documentary follows the gold miners that work for Goldcorp into Guatemala, showing exactly what happens to everything around the gold in the search for the riches. While one company gains profits the people in the community around the digging get more impoverished as their land and water supplies are then polluted and spoiled. And while the locals want to have a taste of the good life they are often met with broken promises instead.
