- 1 hr 26 min
This is the story of Freda Kelly, a shy teenager from Liverpool during the 1960's. Freda is asked to work for a local band that hopes to make it big, and that band was The Beatles. After co-founding the world's first Beatles fan club, Freda is asked to be secretary for this local band that would one day change the world as we know it. Good Ol' Freda is a biographical documentary that tells each story from an insider's perspective. Freda takes us with her as she recollects her journey with The Beatles during their entire 11 year run as the world's most influential band. Director Ryan White brings the British invasion to us once again on screen through the story of a woman who only saw the members of The Beatles as co-workers or employers. Freda Kelly was there when The Beatles were completely unknown, and she was there with them when they stepped on-stage in front of hundreds of thousands of screaming fans. This unique perspective is something that casual and die hard fans can enjoy. Go with Freda Kelly into her memory as she delivers nostalgic observations of a band that everyone has heard of, but no one has ever seen in such a light.
