Hermanas is a drama film that was released in 2005. The film focuses on the political turmoil that occurred in 1976 in Argentina. Two sisters decide to leave the country after one of their boyfriends who is politically active mysteriously disappears. One sister goes to Spain, while the other sister decided to make the move to Texas in the United States.

After years apart, the two sisters decide to reunite with one another. When they meet, one sister presents the other sister with a manuscript of their father's last novel. This novel makes them more aware of the Argetine dictatorship.
