Hittin’ It is a comedy that opened in theaters in 2004. It is the story of Malik (Maurice Patton) and Morris (Howard Walker) who plan a trip to Miami for Spring Break. The movie is rated R mostly due to its highly sexually charged content. The two young men are college roommates. Their characters complement each other well onscreen due to their playful personalities. Malik, known for his sexual prowess and Morris who appears to be sexually frustrated due to the fact that his girlfriend refuses to have intercourse with him, decide to go to Miami for Spring Break. With one thought in mind, the boys go on a quest to get as many women as possible in the sack. Morris’ girlfriend does not like the idea of him hanging out with Malik during Spring break but he convinces her that he is only going so that Malik doesn’t have to make the drive by himself. The plan comes together when Uncle Fredo (Luther Campbell) blesses the boys with unlimited access to his Miami beachfront home during Spring Break. Uncle Fredro a very ornery character, who curses everyone out during the course of the movie, was also extremely funny. They head to Miami with expectations of having the typical boys’ trip which would involve fun and beautiful women in the sun. They think they have all the trappings of a beautiful beach vacation until their crazy Cousin E (A.J. Johnson) arrives. E is a bit weird but certainly knows how to throw a party. His wild party at Uncle Fredro’s beach house turns into a fiasco that literally blows the roof off of the house. With Uncle Fredro’s house in ruins from Cousin E’s crazy party, the boys dream vacation is ruined. Malik and Morris spend the remainder of Spring Break trying to repair the home before Uncle Fredo’s return.
