This historical documentary, part of the Ken Burns Historical Collection, traces the life and times of politician Huey Long who was known as the Kingfish. Huey Long began his spectacular rise to power in the 1920s, first as governor of the state of Louisiana, and then as a U.S. Senator, using the campaign slogan Every Man A King. The film uses interviews with those whose lives were influenced by Long, as well as archival footage of the community projects he undertook before he was assassinated at the age of 42.
