Program 1: Since every individual and community of living things on our planet depends on water for its survival, how we treat it is one of our most important decisions. Only humans have the power of choice. Much of our freshwater and marine habitats have already been threatened by pollution and mistreatment. Program 2: Our atmosphere is quite thin compared to Earth's size: many city streets are longer than its breathable thickness. Since the beginning of the Industrial Revolution, we have been releasing huge amounts of carbon dioxide into this atmosphere, increasing Earth's average temperature. This affects the water cycle and changes ecosystems around the globe. These changes are already underway, and we are the planet's only living beings who can conserve and restore these habitats.
