Huntress: Spirit Of The Night is a 1995 direct-to-video low-budget horror film directed by Mark Manos. The film is set in the fictional Romanian village of Bucksville. The movie starts with the protagonist, Tara Winslow (played by Jenna Bodnar), a young American woman, visiting her ancestral home in the village. Tara is an artist and is captivated by the striking landscape of Bucksville and decides to stay for a while.

Soon after her arrival, Tara starts experiencing strange and terrifying visions. These visions are accompanied by a voiceover of her dead grandfather, who tells her about an ancient curse that plagues her family. Legend has it that the curse dates back to the 17th century when a witch who was burned alive by the villagers of Bucksville cursed the Winslow family, promising that a female family member would be possessed by her spirit every generation.

As the story unfolds, Tara learns that the curse is not just a myth and is soon possessed by the spirit of the witch. She starts to transform into a werewolf-like creature with sharp claws and fangs. Her transformation occurs whenever she is confronted by danger or feels threatened. These transformations lead to the gruesome murders of several villagers, including their livestock.

As the body count piles up, the villagers start to band together to track down the creature responsible. The local priest, Father Constantin (played by George Alexandru), believes that Tara is possessed by the cursed spirit and tries to exorcise it. Tara's boyfriend, Michael (played by Virgil Andriescu), a journalist who is investigating the curse, tries to prove that Tara is innocent and finds evidence that the curse is real.

The film offers plenty of gore and violence, including scenes of decapitations, dismemberment and mutilation. There are also some sex scenes, which seem gratuitous and do not add much to the story.

Overall, Huntress: Spirit Of The Night's plot is thin, and the acting is uneven. Jenna Bodnar's performance is wooden, and her transformation scenes are unconvincing. The special effects are not up to par with modern movies, but for a low-budget horror film, they are acceptable. The film's soundtrack is standard horror fare with ominous music and screeching violins.

Despite its flaws, Huntress: Spirit Of The Night has a cult following and is regarded as a cheesy '90s horror classic. Its campy charm, coupled with its low budget, make it an entertaining B-movie for those who enjoy cheesy horror flicks. The film is not for everyone, but if you are a fan of the genre, it can be worth a watch for its cult status.
