Hybrid is a documentary and biography film about Milford Beeghly. The film debuted in theaters in 2000. Hybrid is about the life of Iowa Farmer Milford Beeghly who pioneered the process of genetically modifying plants. He created the first hybrid corn plants. The movie contains footage from the 1930's and features interviews of Milford Beeghly in his later years.

The film follows the life of Milford Beeghly who in addition to being a farmer with bold new innovations in agriculture, was also a husband, father and grandfather. Considered extreme and even insane for his vision and experiments with plants Milford Beeghly has since been honored for making advances in agriculture and science.
