Working together, they reconnect, and Ben becomes determined to win Mia back. He happens to meet Mia's mother (played by Grace Yip), and they develop an unusual bond. Together, the two conspire to make Mia realize that age is just a number and that true love knows no boundaries.

As the story unfolds, we see Mia struggling with internal conflicts as she tries to come to terms with the age difference. She listens to her colleagues, friends, and even Benny's mother who all have differing opinions on their relationship. To make things worse, Mia's ex-boyfriend, Ricky (played by Ken Wong), reappears in her life, and she starts to fall for him once again. I Want To Get Married features some excellent music, including several original Chinese songs, sung by lead actor Sam Lee. The movie also draws on the theme of love, and how it can bring people together. The film has some hilarious comedic moments and the chemistry between the actors is fantastic.
