Images is a 1972 Robert Altman psychological thriller. The story focuses on a children’s author (Susannah York) who appears to be emotional unstable. She suffers from hallucinations while vacationing. She receives a series of disturbing telephone calls. The voice on the other end of the phone is a female that tells her that her husband is having an affair. She becomes completely distraught when her husband comes home. When he leaves the house she sees another man in the home who claims to be her husband. When she retreats to her vacation home she plunges into deeper hallucinations, and finds it difficult to discern what is real and what is not.
