Watch Jackals - Out of Africa

Jackals have had a long history of being both loved and hated all over their range. In Egypt, they were revered at spiritual beings, in other areas, they were considered pests because of their scavenging. In the documentary, Jackals - Out of Africa, a young veterinarian goes in search of the myths and facts of golden jackals from Africa to Eastern Europe. This 2007 documentary finds the canines living in diverse environments sharing their territories with several species of animals.
