Watch Johannes Facius

Johannes Facius was born in 1936, a Dane of German extraction. His father was one of the first Pentecostal ministers in Denmark. Johannes gave his life to the Lord when he was thirteen years old. He taught the Bible in small group settings then joined the Gospel campaign in Copenhagen. He saw that to make an impact you "need more than good evangelists and tracts." "Prayer is the key to everything we do for the Kingdom of God." He began a weekly 24 hour around-the-clock prayer chain for the campaign. He became executive director of a world-wide prayer movement, but was so involved with administration that he failed to pray himself. On a trip to Russia he suffered an unexplained paralysis, and returning to Denmark was hospitalized for a heart condition. He suffered severe depression and four times contemplated suicide, until he had a remarkable visitation from the Lord Himself. That set him back on the path to an outstanding ministry.
