A fight erupts and Robert is arrested. After the trial he goes to Paris to resume his studies at union headquarters. Workers wishing to reopen the factory confront the pickets. Union leaders intercede before violence erupts. Negotiations resume, and with the help of an economic specialist from Paris, terms are met.
