Kee is a 2019 Tamil-language sci-fi thriller film that was written and directed by Kalees. It stars Jiiva in the lead role of Siddharth, a computer science engineer who becomes a hacker to expose a cyber crime racket. Alongside Jiiva, the film also stars Nikki Galrani and Anaika Soti as female leads. The movie was produced by S. Michael Rayappan under the banner of Global Infotainment.

The film kicks off with Siddharth, who graduated from MIT, Bay Area, returning to Chennai to start his own firm. He strongly believes in the power of technology and how it can change the world. While working on multiple projects, Siddharth chances upon Meghna (Nikki Galrani), who is a journalist. She tells him about a case where a student who attempted suicide because he was blackmailed online by a group of people, who used an app as a front for their illegal activities.

Siddharth immediately begins investigating the case and discovers that the app is named 'Kee' and has more than 10 million downloads. He gets hold of the app and discovers that it possesses artificial intelligence and it's capable of predicting activities of users. With the help of his friend, he reverse-engineers the app and uncovers a massive cyber crimes operation taking place across the globe with Kee being the primary source of communication and plan execution for the criminals.

The investigation leads Siddharth to a complex web of deceit and corruption, with the criminals using Kee to extort money and blackmail people. He soon realizes that they are being watched and that his life is in danger. Nevertheless, Siddharth is determined to bring the criminals to justice, and he uses Kee's technology to devise a plan to expose their operation.

The film is filled with techno-thrills as Siddharth hacks into the criminals' network and creates his own software to stop them. Kee showcases how easy it is to cross limits in the digital age, from privacy invasion to exploitation, and how technology can be weaponized and misused. It also highlights a critical issue that the world faces today in our digital age: cybersecurity.

Jiiva delivers a solid performance as the protagonist, playing a complex character who shows confidence, vulnerability, and determination all in equal measure. Nikki Galrani, who portrays Meghna, Siddharth's romantic interest, also does an excellent job, bringing both grit and emotional depth to her role. Anaika Soti plays a skilled hacker, Seetha, who assists Siddharth at crucial junctures, and her performance is also noteworthy. The three leads work well together, with decent chemistry, which only makes the drama and thrills all the more exciting.

The cinematography by Abinandhan Ramanujam is excellent, capturing the mood and tone of each scene masterfully. The movie's editing by Nagooran is on point and keeps the scene transitions and the pacing tight throughout.
