Knots

Knots is a comedy film written by Neil Turitz and Greg Lombardo, who also directed. The movie features John Stamos, Anabeth Gish, Michael Leydon, Paulina Porizkova and Tara Reid. The film begins with Dave (played by Scott Cohen) and Greta (played by Annabeth Gish), a married couple. They are moving into a new place and Dave is filled with worry. He is concerned about everything from mold to how the building is constructed.

Dave is also wondering if he is actually still in love with his wife. The two struggle to reignite the passion in their marriage of two years but it is clear that they are unsuccessful. When a woman lawyer named Lily (played by Paulina Porizkova) at a local bar hits on Dave, he is far too guilty to take her up on her offer.

Instead, Dave attempts to divert her affections to his hapless pal Jake (played by Michael Leydon Campbell). Jake is an average, very nice guy who has not been able to get the interest of any of the women he would like to get to know and perhaps date. However, they all agree to go out on a double date.

Their friend Cal (played by John Stamos) is on a mission to get himself with as many women as he possibly can. The problem here is that he is engaged to a woman named Emily (played by Tara Reid). Nonetheless, the fact that he is engaged does absolutely nothing to dissuade Cal in any way in his clandestine activities.

Dave becomes increasingly distant and Greta finds passion with another woman. Dave catches the two in bed together things get very complex as the woman Greta is with is the same one who had hit on her husband just a few days before. To add to his troubles, Greta wants out of the marriage and serves Dave with divorce papers.
