Max may be a sociologist by training, but it's become clear that he doesn't understand people one-on-one. Now that he's fifty-something, his marriage has ended and he feels disconnected from everybody around him. Las Palabras de Max (What Max Said) is the story of a man having a mid-life crisis. Max examines his relationship failures as he tries to reconnect to friends and lovers, and to his adolescent daughter. This Spanish drama won the Golden Bear award at the Berlin Film Festival.
